The kids are obviously super smart.

Super Smart and lucky both, assuming they were unhooked! There are many unhooked super smart kids but few get in to desired schools. 
If you don’t mind- what race they are- Asians or whites/ European/ middle Eastern?

Probably quietky hired a college advisor/prepper in middle school.

My entire in-law family live in a well off area of L.A. county, major feeder school track area for Stanford,  Berkeley, UCKA, etc. Every Asian family hires peppers from middle school through high school.[/quote]
