You don’t truly know them. I’m sure people say that about my kids. We are humble (except what I’m writing right now:)) so you have no idea their test scores, grades, accomplishments, extracurriculars. People were sort of blown away when my son graduated first in his class (only 1 valedictorian) since we never talked about his grades, scores, etc to neighbors or close friends. He always was very, very bright but a social kid that wasn’t in the “hardcore face in book, parents putting him Hopkins summer stuff and math competitions, etc”. The kids are obviously super smart. Super Smart and lucky both, assuming they were unhooked! There are many unhooked super smart kids but few get in to desired schools. If you don’t mind- what race they are- Asians or whites/ European/ middle Eastern?

White\asian
Probably quietky hired a college advisor/prepper in middle school. My entire in-law family live in a well off area of L.A. county, major feeder school track area for Stanford, Berkeley, UCKA, etc. Every Asian family hires peppers from middle school through high school.
