I don't find the cost of sheets and bedding that exorbitant for Queen and King beds that we should downgrade to a twin or full? Is this a real thing or posters are just writing any old thing?

I know that in college, my kids will get a Twin XL and have to deal with it, but I am sure they will manage.  At home, I want them to have a very comfortable bed and get the best sleep that they can.
