+1. A friend of mine runs-- and I am not exaggerating-- a minimum of 10 miles per day. He also has a high level, stressful job.  He looks gaunt. And he was told he was pre-diabetic, because work got difficult and he barely ate and when he did, it was just Ramen noodles. It did a number on his blood sugar.

We tend to be sympathetic to stories like this. But other people have similar stories-- they work hard at a difficult job, like Supreme Court Justice! Only instead of running and eating noodles, they slam another kind of carb and gain weight. And this is supposed to be a crime worthy of death.  I can't get on board. I'm a thin, but not too thin, very active person- but there but for the grace of God go I.  [/quote]
