[/quote] My middle school kid has a couple classes that have a great grading policy - it motivates them to keep learning and master the material. They are graded primarily on quizzes and tests. If they score better on the test than the previous unit quizzes then the test score replaces the unit quiz scores. And they also have a chance to do test corrections to make up some lost points. To get the points they have to explain what they did wrong and what the correct answer is. So it promotes more learning. Anyway, I think this grading policy is great and hope more teachers implement it. [/quote]
