Only when WWII started, and people started to panic did he really step up and make great decisions. The same can be said of many great leaders - they're not the type of folks you want babysitting your kids, but when the chips are really down (life or death down), their true abilities emerge. I've seen this pattern over and over again. Resources in DC are given to the connected, not the competent who listen to the teachers on the line. Its a shame, really.[/quote]
