Our school has country club cliques and it isn't the Cathedral schools. The cliques are a very strong presence. We aren't members, could be if we wanted to be but aren't. I don't want to be but I often wonder if I will cave just so my kids can have a social life? How pathetic is that? Awful isn't it? I honestly would like to switch schools, but again fear is keeping me from having my kids apply elsewhere because it's so darn hard to get in, especially during off acceptance years.

We aren't originally from this area, so I would like to know: What do most families do during the summer, aside from camps, for swimming? Do most people have a pool? Our neighborhood pool is quite small. We will likely move in the near future and I would honestly consider buying a house with a pool or building one, just to avoid the country club.
