Also this is emily again ——— who’s daughter connected in real life (ish- sort of ) with OPs kid it turns out she didn’t quite have the right thing to offer OP’s kid because they don’t play in the same realms on Roblox. However my gamer girl comic con going cosplay wearing kid is a generous empathic kind person who spend time and energy on Christmas morning figuring out what happened to OPs kid because she has also been scammed by crappy people and she felt that sadness in her heart. So I’d like to send a big middle finger to people who disparage “gamers” because this community has been the most inclusive and supportive community I have ever seen in my entire life. If they are dorks then I say LETS GO DORKS!!!!
This is OP again. I have to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to Emily's daughter. The kindness your daughter showed him has been a balm. He has been feeling violated and upset, and it was amazing and reassuring to have a complete stranger offer to help. It's reminded him that there are many, many good and caring people out there. The fact that it happened to her, too, is taking some of the sting out of the experience. Emily, you've got a very special girl with a big heart! So grateful.
This is awesome! Btw, someone else posted about being isolated due to Covid... I started allowing my son to play Minecraft and Roblox with friends online when school closed in early 2020. Thank God for it. He is a social kid who needed to connect with his friends. They still play online and also have no trouble playing outdoors and offline together when they see each other in person. Someone else asked what else kids play. DS and a friend each have Nintendo Switch and can play together. Rocket League is is actually a free game they like.
