My teen sons eat a whole pizza each. I would say 5 to be sure you are covered. 4 if the teens are girls.
Wow. My teen son (athlete) rarely has a second slice.
He does not like pizza or is a gymnast.. You have to know 1 slice of pizza is more like a snack for most teens.
One slice of pizza for a teenaged male athlete is way outside the norm.
Seriously, my 9yo eats more than one slice. When we ordered food over Thanksgiving, my father repeatedly said he'd get her a slice. I'd correct him to order a medium pie and then when he ran down the orders again he'd say a slice for her. Rinse, repeat.
He sounds like my FIL. One time FIL was going to order pizza for dinner for the whole family (8 adults were present). He said he’d had a late lunch so 2 pizzas would be plenty because he and MIL wouldn’t eat very much. He, of course, ate 2 slices, which was the exact amount he’d allotted per person. I felt bad for dh and my BILs (all young men at the time) because they had not had a late lunch and nothing else was being served.
Ugh. It's so weird to be cheap about PIZZA. It's not caviar. We recently stayed with friends (a childfree couple) who ordered 1 pizza to feed themselves, me, DH, and DS. The couple ate 2 slices each and DH and I each had 1 slice so our kid could have 2. We drove several hours to get there and were starving! The next night we ordered Chinese food for everyone and they were going on an on about how I'd ordered enough to feed an army. There were some leftovers, but not a lot. We are an active family and we eat!
