No, Norwood was caught stealing from the store and knew the victim was going to turn her in, so she lured her back to the store saying she forgot her purse or something then attacked her.  She was trying to make it look like a robbery, but it was definitely premeditated b/c she tried to dump the victim's car and brought plastic zip ties to tie up her hand's as well as the woman she murdered.[/quote]

Yes, to kill her to keep her quiet.  I think she thought she could get away with b/c she told police that they'd both been sexually assaulted.  The police first believed her an it was reported that masked men committed the crime but the story unraveled quickly b/c the forensics pointed to Norwood.  For example, she dipped a sneaker from the store in the victim's blood to make tracks of the supposed killer.[/quote]
