She's not going to wear a mask around the baby at home. Also, the baby was LITERALLY IN HER BODY and could have caught COVID that way, since it can be transmitted in utero.[/quote] Because it prevents transmission, including to the mom, during delivery which reduces the risk that the mom passes it to her child after she goes home. Also, post partum women are high risk, and losing your mother as a newborn is bad for mental health. [/quote]
