Pregnant women and parents of newborns read this and be warned: sleep train early, make your kid sleep in their own bed early, do not go down this road.
Lol this post isn’t about sleep training at all. We were the most indulgent parents I know in this respect— never really sleep trained, co-slept for a long time, kid figured it out and learned to sleep through the night on her own. Haven’t had a nighttime wake up that wasn’t an illness since she turned 1. I know people who think we’re terrible parents for this. And even I think this story is bananas. Fruit pouches in the middle of the night? Both mom and dad doing multiple wake ups with a 3 yr old? This is either a troll trying to make a point about sleep training or these are really people who are totally lost with how to set boundaries and create healthy habits. But no, this is not a story about whether or not you should sleep train your child. It’s just nuts.
