Is Ronaldo European?  Mbappe?  Knabery?  Perhaps some pretty good foot skills there. Do you think Messi focuses too much on foot skills, or all the Brazilians who are on every roster of every top notch football team in the world?

All players at top levels both (1) have extraordinary foot skills, and (2) know how to play the ball, play with the ball, and play off the ball. One does not come at the expense of other. Those who have footskills get more time to possess the ball and play better passes. Some people are better at one dimension of the game than others but that doesn’t mean we should be focusing exclusively on one or the other.
