DP, I think it's you who has the inflated ego if you expect everyone to know and contact you only with specific hours. Put your phone on silent, and it's no problem. People have different schedules and you/they respond when they can. [/quote]

Also, why would you assume that someone who is texting you at 7am expects you to respond or read it at 7am? I text at all sorts of random hours with friends, and vice versa, and we all expect that sometimes hours pass between when a text is sent and when it's replied to. [/quote]

This. i don't care when you respond - do so when it's convenient. But if you expect me to know what times are good for you, well, sorry, I don't care or keep tabs since everyone has a different schedule. I'm a morning person, so I'll respond to your late night texts when I get up. Then YOU respond when you wake up and check your messages, whatever time that may be for you. [/quote]
