DP, I think it's you who has the inflated ego if you expect everyone to know and contact you only with specific hours. Put your phone on silent, and it's no problem. People have different schedules and you/they respond when they can. [/quote]

Same here. Although the texting outside hours is probably just one aspect in which we would conflict.

I view texting in the same vein as calling. 8am - 9pm unless someone is in the hospital. I don’t use DND because my family and friends follow this same timeframe - if anyone tries to contact you from 9pm - 8am, it’s an emergency. [/quote]

My only free time to text or call is from 9 pm to 11 pm. Do you have young kids or just go to bed early?[/quote]
