Results speak for themselves - as in scores. MC Elite is not what they used to be. The 2022 Midnight team is very strong - they've had a consistent core over many years and a solid coach, but that is it. History is one thing. Present time is another and presently, they are taking a nose dive. And as a PP said, why did they remove all of their coaching (and even team!) information from their website? It's sketchy at a time when basically every other team in the DMV at least lists the names. Why go to a program that puts your kid into a position to lose by multi-digit goals nearly each and every game? Those Carolina teams are just a money grab at this point. And this is on the leadership, not even coaches, for allowing the teams to be in this position. At least most other clubs treat their 'B' teams with a little decency. Losing more than winning is one thing. Losing they way they do is another. It is not fair to those kids and parents to constantly travel just to go 0-xxx and maybe score 5-6 goals all tournament.
I totally disagree with your comment about B level teams being a money grab. B level teams exist at all clubs. Those girls would have nowhere else to play if B teams didn't exist, especially in HS. My daughter is on a B-level team at another club and we get beaten alot. By a lot of goals. But we are playing hard teams and I would rather have that than my daughter not playing at all. And don't judge whether it's "fair" or not. The parents on our team are all totally happy - nobody feels like we are getting the bad end of anything. The girls love playing and some of the girls on my older daughter's B team were recruited last year to play d3 and they were thrilled. B teams may not be for you, but they fit the bill for a lot of girls who are not top players and just want to keep playing through HS.
