Pfizer vaccines (right now the only ones authorized for use in 12-15 year olds) are not even authorized for use in India which is still the main country driving the epidemic at the moment; b. Even if it were authorized, rural India and even many cities do not have the cold chain capacity needed for the mRNA vaccines (even many places in the US don’t have freezers that keep those vaccines cold enough; c. we will not get to herd immunity before newer mutations that are potentially able to evade the vaccine if more people in the US don’t get vaccinated and keeping a large pool of young humans to get and spread it is not a great idea. If you don’t want to vaccinate your kids, so be it, but please don’t say that it’s for moral reasons because the vaccine you don’t give your child isn’t going to magically help someone in India or Brazil.[/quote]
