PP here. We’re struggling with whether the academics are comparable in the upper grades. I hear so many frustrations with MV’s curriculum and teaching, I worry we’ll regret trading convenience for quality in a few years and not be able to go back.[/quote]

PP. That's my take as well. I see more parents wanting to leave MV in the upper grades than LAMB parents. That's all anecdotal and it feels like charter parents tend to either have rose colored glasses or a personal vendetta, but aside from test scores (which are a wash from what I can tell) and playground conversations, what else is there to go by? Montessori is great, but not something I'd make a deciding factor for an upper elementary kid. [/quote]

You might not, but you'd be surprised at how interesting it can be for that age group. I do not know how MV teaches upper elementary (their pedagogy). [/quote]
