additional info: DC is solid in math, tends to coast along if not challenged. Should I let DC be in Math 6 and coast along or request acceleration? Trying to see what the average MAP-M 5th grade spring scores are and where my DC is.
Is there any point in talking to the teachers? Thanks for your input!

As I posted earlier in previous years 240 was the cutoff for being placed in 6th grade IM. I think it was a soft cutoff. I'd discuss with your kids MS counselor. [/quote]
