Episcopal. We love it. We were both raised very Catholic. We left before we were married and never looked back. It is so toxic and I can’t believe we stayed. I can’t imagine raising children to be Catholic after all they have done. Today I saw kids going to first communion. I loved mine and it was such a sweet memory but what the actual F is going on when you think about it? It is really creepy to think about reconciliation with a celibate old man in a small dark enclosed room with a 7 year old. And then dressing up my daughter like the bride of Christ to feast on his body and blood. You have got to be kidding me.
Episcopalians do communion too -- but they don't have the sacrament of first holy communion and no ridiculous first confession -- seriously how bad can you be at 7 years old? Little kids can go up for communion whenever they want.
It is a made up religion so they can do anything. My father was an OG Episcopalian. Meaning his family was servants of King Henry then 8 when they were forced to convert or lose their heads. I went when I was little at Xmas. Always depressing and long. I like you can get divorced and don’t even need to go to church.
The Episcopal Christmas service is a lot like the Catholic one, so it would seem depressingly long to you as well.
