It's utterly baffling that the 20009 zip code was not just added to the list of priority zip codes when it has thousands of low-income residents. DC added 20010 tonight but not 20009, for completely unknown reasons. Dismal leadership on Nadeau's part.

Why are we adding more priority zip codes at all? If half the city is "priority" it kind of defeats the purpose, no? Doesn't every zip code technically have thousands of low income residents?

Prioritizing by zip codes also allows for a whole lot of wealthy people to jump to the front of the line. Adding 20010 adds Mount Pleasant to the list of prioritized neighborhoods even though its residents are well ahead of the city's vaccination average. This will make equity worse. Prioritize by neighborhood not zip code.[/quote]
