If your spouse is high enough up that they are directly responsible for policies related to public education it should be a condition of employment. Just like living in DC is a condition once you reach a certain salary threshold ($150k.) if your spouse is the finger printer at DCPS he gets a pass. I used to live near a labor union employee who has signs posted in the front yard about public school teachers rights who sent their kids to privates schools. There is a degree of commitment when you walk the walk and not just talk.[/quote]

Edited to add, I am also sure there are probably plenty of qualified people to do their jobs who do send their kids to public schools. If their employment was dependent on sending your kids to public schools, would you?[/quote]
