I predict NOVA and Hampton Roads flipping the governorship red next year if school doesn’t start 5 days a week.
FCPS teacher here. If we do not start school next fall with 5 days a week, I will be very upset and will likely be one of those voting to flip it red. Unfortunately, I realize that would not really solve the problem... but how else am I supposed to react?
One issue voting rarely helps.
Except in this issue. One person, the governor, has the power to decide if kids are 5 days a week next fall or 4 days a week , two in person, concurrent model crap. School are a huge portion of the state and local budgets. That’s my issue. Open schools FT for my rising senior who will be faulty vaccinated by then, or I vote for someone who will. I am so angry about how this played out in FCPS. I’m so angry it’s going to take the Governor to get schools open. I’ll deals the SB on 2023. In the meantime, the Governor is the one who can open schools. If Dems choose not to because the teachers unions fund their campaigns, I’ll choose someone who will. I’m so disappointed in Dems. They are supposed to be the party of kids and edication. If they choose not to go full start next year, that’s very eye opening. No supporting my party when they are wrong. It makes me no better than a *****ers.
No. All of you proudly proclaiming how you'll become "one issue voters" are no better than Trumpers. You're just like the mouthbreathers who would vote for an axe murderer, just as long as they claimed to be anti-abortion.
