So will we see more inclusion of the BRYC former ODSL teams with the Elite Academy teams? Same league , some in higher divisions, some higher ranked state and nationally than Elite Academy. Or will they again be treated like the red headed step children?[/quote]

Just curious what inclusion means here, why can't anyone on the BRYC rec teams join the Elite Academy? As I understand it the Elite Academy teams only play in NCSL at U12 and older and it is their composite teams playing a year up.[/quote]

Anyone from the rec programs can contact Elite Academy and get a tryout. That is not an issue and is very easy at the youngest age groups to do. But like with any travel team, a tryout doesn't guarantee getting selected.  The same would be true of the BRYC ODSL or Elite Bridge teams that are volunteer-led. Anyone can contact those coaches to try and get a tryout but they don't have to offer you a spot on their team (or even offer you a tryout if they are already fulll).  The best times to tryout our when teams are going from 7v7 to 9v9 and then 9v9 to 11v11 because all teams will be looking to increase their roster sizes.
