It was not chaos or pandemonium. Far from it. Announcement came. Kids had off the next day. Online teaching the following day and that afternoon we picked up their crate. Schools handled it just fine.
The crate idea is brilliant. They aren’t allowed to use lockers. We had to supply a crate or box or bag they could keep by their desk. We made an appointment and they crate/box was delivered to the car. Classes went on as normal online for 2

We actually enjoyed the first week (wake up late, uniform top with pj bottoms, lunch together). By the end of week 2 they were definitely ready to return to school- even with social distancing, masks on all day, plexiglass glass partitions on desks, and concurrent students online.
