However based on the voting that's been done on bills in the general assembly so far, most Democrats are for allowing localitites to chose whether or not to open. Most Republicans are for forcing localities to open. It's a difference that matters. I don't believe, for example, that Terry McAuliffe has come out saying he will push the VDOE to require in-person instruction.[/quote] As a Democrat I believe the party has lost it's collective mind about COVID. It has thrown out all issues it cares it about--like educational inequalities and the workforce status of women. The party needs to wake up.[/quote]
