If you've had baby #1 already, you will be fertile until your mid-forties. I think age-related fertility issues happen earlier if your body never had a baby. It took 1 month after going off birth control to conceive my baby at 37 and I know many other similar stories (and then an accidental 4th at 43!)
What? This is insanity, sure some woman are fertile until their mid forties but many are not, even if they have previously given birth. Read up on secondary infertility.
That's the exception, not the rule. To the PP who has had two losses this year, have a think if you are doing anything different - are you taking an anti-depressant for example, or any other medicine/supplement? Anti-depressants can cause heart problems in fetuses and so many women take them and don't realize. Is your DH working a lot with his laptop on his lap? The heat will cause his sperm to die or not be as high quality.
There is no medical evidence that suggests you *will* be fertile until your mid-40's if you've already had a child. Mid 30's maybe, even then it's "probably will be" not "will be", but the overwhelming majority of women are almost completely out of good eggs by early 40's. That's just biology. There is an ENORMOUS difference in fertility and egg quality between 37 and 40 and 43.
