Yep. His father and coaches actually encouraged him to play it and they credit it for his footskills today in the Premier League.

I’m fascinated at how people can take one aspect of one player and assert that that player’s one experience is solely responsible for his success and the appropriate path for all people. Did all the premier league players who did not bother with futsal credit their success to focusing on soccer and not being distracted by games developed solely to account for lack of outdoor space in urban areas? Sometimes it feels like futsal guys are to soccer is similar to what Paltrow is to wellness. [/quote]
