This is me as well.  I won't even check the mail without being dressed, including hair and make-up.  I'm from the south as well.  Maybe it's a southern thing.  During any of my many teenage drama moments, my mother's advise was always "Sweetie, put a little lipstick on.  You'll feel better".  And you know what?  She was right.

So to answer the question, I am a stay-at-home mother.  Unless my house was on fire, I wouldn't leave in pajamas with messy hair and no make-up.

One more thing...for all you SAHMs...you do realize that your husband goes to work every day and sees many women who do take the time to get dressed, do their hair, and fix their make-up.  Just sayin'.  Take some pride in your appearance.[/quote]

He can look all he wants.  He still comes home to me, tells me that he still loves me, thinks I'm beautiful and doing a wonderful job taking care of our children.  When we go out together I wear something nice.  When we're at home, I'm not putting on a fashion show and he wouldn't care even if I did.[/quote]
