I've heard some interesting things about BRYC. From what parents have explained they like to pool their girls, like on a U15 squad, and then pick those who'll be on the first team each week. There may be some girls who are consistently on the primary team, but they lose a lot of cohesion playing together all the time at practice and in games, when the situation is way different. Dunno... they used to be stout and in some U-groups, they don't have a single win yet.
This is true and it gives girls who would not be playing ECNL a chance and they really try to get everyone in. I have seen this for a few years. U16 that goes away and this team will be a stronger for it.
BRYC is bottom of the U16 table too in ECNL, so again... what's the point? I'm sure every club can have a "deep field" if 10-15 decent players are mixed in weekly with the 7-9 girls who are consistently on the top team. I don't see the merit in getting beat every week with the mantra of "good try, we almost TIED!" I guess each club needs their wrinkle to be different, this is their thing. I know awesome girls who have left because of this exact teaming style though...
