Yes, laws are passed. There had been previous attemots to legislate the removal of the statue. They failed. You keep trying. Thats called being a nation of laws. We dont all get what we want when we want automatically or by force. Thats called anarchy, or in the hands of a few - oligarchy, faciscim or dictatorship. [/quote]

So, segregated schools, separate but equal- Not, with all deliberate speed, whites only real estate covenants... all of these things have been what this “land of laws” has meant for some of us. So that phrase might not garner the reverence that you seem to have for it. For many minorities— “keep trying” makes what you view as “anarchy” look quite attractive — and possibly the only realistic option.  To paraphrase Kimberly Jones: Be grateful that we want equality— and not revenge.

So you're completely ignorant of all the efforts to desegregate, empower, create equity and progress that have been made? And now you're taking the law into your own hands? You never heard of the loving case, busing, affirmative action, priority hiring, hate crime laws, small business loans, homestead act, summer jobs program, black politicians in every elected office in land? Some efforts worked, some failed, you try try again. Thats what every person (human) in a nation of law does. Democracy is the best option of imperfect systems. But you just want to burn it down. Hope your kids enjoy the cinders. What are you going to rebuild when you've destroyed the best chance we have for a country of 350 million to live work love and hope together through a foundation of law and process. You think living in our tribes waving our torches at each other will be an improvement? Again, total ignorance fail.[/quote]
