I only eat thin crust as a matter of preference, but unlike other people, I’m not satisfied by 2 slices.. I usually have to eat at least 4, and I only order these when I crave. The problem is that I don’t like the way it feels in my gut. It feels really heavy and bloated at least 15 minutes after eating, also warm in my gut probably due to the oil content overall. It also doesn’t fill me up for a long time, and I end up binge eating! I guess it’s just frustrating because it’s so high in calorie yet it doesn’t last compared to other food that are as good but I have cravings once in a while. I guess next time I need to make sure I have 1 high protein meal when I’m having a pizza day.
I feel this same way but after experimenting with a very low carb diet and making a fake pizza crust out of cheese and egg and almond flour, I discovered it’s not the oil that makes me feel heavy and bloated, nor is it the oil or fat that makes me want four pieces. It’s all the wheat. A low carb fake pizza with tons of cheese in both crust and topping leaves me feeling just fine, and full after a couple of pieces. Bummer, because I miss ordering normal pizza.
