I'm not sure why you think I would lie about that.

They were constantly referring women in their 50's out to counseling because they had an STD from their H cheating.

I think it ~technically~ could happen. Imagine you kiss your great aunt Judy who has the beginnings of a cold sore. She doesn't even realize that she's shedding the virus! And you have a microtear in your lip or a zit or anything so the virus sneaks its way into your body. Then, once you  are good and infected you go down on your spouse without knowing you are contagious. Ug. Now your spouse has genital herpes. Not nice.
