The PP is probably just frustrated and with good reason.  It’s detrimental for children to be out of school.  The loss of learning is immense. Please step out of your bubble.

If they "lost" the learning, they probably didn't really have it in the first place, and don't need it except to jump through school hoops. Also, it should be completely obvious that no one needs to be in a school to learn.[/quote]
