Wait, you as a parent want to be reimbursed for the money you spent on your kid?  You're joking right?  I easily spend about 2K year on my students.  Not my own children, my students.  Wanna know how much money I get reimbursed per year?  Zero.  I can claim a whopping $250 a year on my taxes though.  [/quote]

Same. This is the only thing DH and I fight about. I have pared it down to about $1000 in the past two years due to moving to a Title I school. There’s actually some government money for the things teachers need and I can also apply for special private money grants under our status.[/quote]
