Everyone in our home bathes/showers at least once a day. I am seriously grossed out by some of these answers.
Me too.
People with dry skin cannot bathe daily.
People with dry skin can and should bathe daily with cooler water and apply barrier lotion. I know. This was what a top dermatologist finally told us and it cured mine and my kids dry skin for good.
This is really good advice. My LO has excema and a few other skin issues and is not potty trained. We bathe her at least twice daily between the shower or bathtub. The game changer has been that LO bathes with clothing on (100% cotton jammies) at bath or shower time. At bath time, we add three cups of organic apple cider vinegar added to the water and never use bubble bath; we use very very little soap. We also rinse the soap off quickly at the end and only use soap for every other bathing. No towel for drying, we put her light layer lotion on and then dry 100% cotton clothes directly on afterward. I second anyone that uses water time for a break, or calming. My olders take showers after going outside, as do I. We also have inside/outside clothing. Regular bathing also helps to keep your house clean, surprisingly.
