The US overall does about 150k tests/day. MD needs to test about 10k/day to have accurate measurements about if the situation is getting worse or better, as part of the federal guidelines to re-open the state. So this 500k tests means MD could run the testing volume to stay open for about 2 months (assuming the numbers of positives go down). [/quote]
