Agreed. Now, he should think of doing a solid for the Nation and getting us rid of COVID-TRUMP.

Are the tests reliable? Finland ordered some PPE that proved to be faulty.
How much did it cost to get the tests? How much will patients be charged to be tested?

Me too. He will make a great president.
He takes stuff seriously and is a go-getter.

How many tests do the hospitals in Maryland and Maryland Government facilities have before they got 500,000 from South Korea ???

How many of the 500,000 will they use by Fall ??? If they test 10,000 a day, that would take 50 days.

MD has done about 70k tests so far in total. They did 3,500 in the last 24 hours.

The US overall does about 150k tests/day.

MD needs to test about 10k/day to have accurate measurements about if the situation is getting worse or better, as part of the federal guidelines to re-open the state. So this 500k tests means MD could run the testing volume to stay open for about 2 months (assuming the numbers of positives go down).

DC is completely lost. We need retrocession to Md. Time to close the “Laboratory for the Left.” Perpetual one party rule has been a disaster.

Super left Democrat here- very happy with Hogan.

I didn't vote for him, but I feel confident with him and happy to call him our governor.

Also, no better demonstration of the fact that the US response is a complete failure. Our access to crucial public-health resources shouldn't depend on the ethnic heritage of the spouse of the governor of the state we happen to be living in.

ehhh...this is life. If you want to practice IP law in China, you better have a few Chinese speaking lawyers on your staff. Same for practicing in Europe. If you want to close a deal with a Korean firm overnight, I can see how pleasantries and some final cajoling in Korean would be handy.

I used to be in the Navy. When we would have a ship pull into country X for an exercise, You better believe that we had Country X speakers even if we had to borrow them from 'big' Navy.

Which is why the fed gov't should be doing this, but they aren't. No reason states should have to go out bidding on their own to find enough tests.

The fed gov't should procure for all states, then have FEMA handle logistics of getting them to the states.

The fed gov't has the State Department so they have native speakers at embassies throughout the world who already have local contacts and can handle the negotiations. Yet.. they aren't doing this.

This. Unbelievably embarrassing and a total failure of leadership at the top.

+1000

I am so thankful that Gov. Hogan is our governor. He has always been impressive and has really excelled during this pandemic. Everyday I wish he was running for president instead of the idiot we have in office.

Trump totally threw him under the bus in the briefing. I'd love to hear Hogan's honest response to that, he is typically way too tactful when it comes to talking about Trump, although he's obviously just trying not to incur the wrath of the Idiot in Chief.

Trump's jealous.

Absolutely. No bigger endorsement for Hogan especially in this state. Bravo.

Agreed. His standing among even liberal Democrats like myself has risen due to his response to the pandemic. Now if he could only stop kicking teachers...

And also stop building highways.
