I'm a single parent with a 7 year old. Can I just leave her alone at home so I can go to the grocery store? I think it's probably just safer for her to be at home by herself than in a dirty grocery store with the virus possibly living on multiple surfaces. We're in Virginia so I don't think it's technically illegal to leave her home alone, right?[/quote]

Same here, with a 7 year old, I leave him alone to go to the store.  I am not gone for long and he has a neighbor to reach out to in an emergency.  I tell him he can't go outside and that he can't open the door to anyone.  So far so good. He is so glued to screens he probably doesn't even notice that I am gone.[/quote]
