They're telling the kids to pack all their stuff they might need to do on-line work from home, but not telling them to pack their entire rooms like they're leaving. If they switch to on-line for the rest of this school year, what happens to all the stuff they left in their rooms?
I don't think anyone has thought that far ahead. My guess is that they will ask those who can to come and get it, and make some provisions for students who cannot afford to due to travel costs, such as having them report earlier in the fall to move things to new living space.
Ok thank you. I like that one. I mean it is so much stuff with the bedding and the microwave and everything. Usually there's organized summer storage that the students all get together and do at the end of the year. Child just can't pack it all up today and take it on the plane, or even store it somewhere with no car to haul anything and only a short time to pack. Better clean out that mini fridge if they won't be coming back for who knows how long.
It's just a guess! Who knows what they will actually do. I also think it depends on whether your student's college has extensive summer programs happening, such as camps for younger kids or summer classes and they need the dorms for housing.
