:hand goes up: I know tons of middle aged divorced women with kids, most definitely on the prowl, who work full time and get sizable alimony, you interested, OP?
+1, my husband's ex gets life long alimony. She cheated and they were only married 10 years and divorced before age 30. How is that ok?
Oh wow, I most definitely call BS. Alimony in perpetuity nowadays has to have VERY extenuating circumstances. They were only married 10 years and she gets alimony in perpetuity??? What exactly was the basis for this? I'm dying to hear this.
No idea.. he got screwed over. Its part of his military pension so he cannot fight it even though she was only with him the 10 years not 20 he was in.
Pension is not alimony.
Correct but she also alimony for 10 years.
Wait... what?? You just told us she gets "life long alimony" and now you're saying she got alimony for 10 years?? Again, I call BS. You either lied when you said she gets life long alimony, or you're lying now... which is it? Pro tip: "life long alimony" was a thing about 30 years ago, however as I said earlier; to receive it today would be virtually impossible for someone that was only married 10 short years -- no matter what state this occurred. She may be getting half of his pension for life (which is highly unlikely to occur in such a short marriage) but either way, you need to stop making false statements about things you clearly know nothing about.
