What a bizarre, hateful post.  It's logical.  He didn't say what level she wants to play at, but unless she is shooting for DA or ECNL, it's a good choice. If she does want DA or ECNL, then obviously Barca isn't a good fit.  Not all families want to travel the continental U.S. for U13 and at that age, a smaller developmental club makes sense.

Arlington favors direct play.  Alexandria might be a good choice.  I think their Futsal emphasis suggests a more technical style of play, if that location is a good fit.  I don't remember SYC or Vienna being a possession/midfield style. [/quote]

First, at those ages, you primarily develop technical skills.  Formations are different than 11v11 formations.  Midfield play has a different nature between 7v7 or 9v9 and 11v11.  The best environments at those ages that would produce capable midfield players are, based on historical information (seeing players at older ages coming out of these programs and producing at a high level) and not wishcasting:

FCV, McLean, Alexandria, Bethesda, Herndon

Loudoun and Arlington are great at producing forwards, backs, and keepers.  [/quote]

Generally the bones of whatever a player's natural position are realized and developed before U13. There is still much to learn but much of the foundation has been laid before 13. [/quote]
