Buy ECCO shoes.i wear their heels as my “go to” commuting heels then change into other heels/ones that might get ruined on escalators or caught in cracks when I get to office. Super comfortable, stylish and durable. Also, returning worn items is tacky af.
It’s not tacky if the store accepts them. The cost of accepting worn shoes as returns is built into their business. I worked at a store that sold shoes in high school and we accepted worn shoes if they were clean (we didn’t take the pair of white sneakers that looked like they were dipped into a vat of red wine) and looked like they’d only been worn once or not at all. We had a lot of repeat customers that bought way more shoes than they returned. Once a year we had a gently used shoe sale with the shoes that normally retailed for around $100 being sold for $15-$20. There was a line when we opened and they were all snapped up in minutes.
