Doing well academically is possible. Doing exceptionally well in many different kinds of intellectual pursuits in different areas and industries...that is amazing, Till date I have seen only one kid who was a genius.  However, magnet is not about a genius kid, It is for kids who are GT and need this kind of academic acceleration and enrichment. [/quote]

I have been teaching in the CES for years and have taught a number of highly gifted kids.  Some of them have astonished me and are probably geniuses.  The majority have been impressive in various ways.
