I have seen only one genius level kid in MCPS. Only 1. In my many, many, many years of MCPS magnet world.
What do you mean by genius?
And what does “in my many, many years of MCPS magnet world” mean?
I think it means your child is NOT as smart as you think. Dumba$$.
Bingo! Doing well academically is possible. Doing exceptionally well in many different kinds of intellectual pursuits in different areas and industries...that is amazing, Till date I have seen only one kid who was a genius. However, magnet is not about a genius kid, It is for kids who are GT and need this kind of academic acceleration and enrichment.
I have been teaching in the CES for years and have taught a number of highly gifted kids. Some of them have astonished me and are probably geniuses. The majority have been impressive in various ways. On what basis, PP with “many, many years of MCPS magnet world,” do you make these assertions?
