And the structure of MLS creates a disincentive for individual clubs to develop a player like that and sell him to Europe, because they won't get to keep the money. Because MLS isn't a real league, it's a cartel. [/quote] It's not the job of MLS to foster American talent...it's to make money as a league. Don't confuse MLS with USSF. And American talent doesn't have to play in the MLS, which is why most of the best American talent is heading to Europe.
