I live in Illinois and UIUC is a perfectly fine school. The problem for in-staters is that it is not cheap. UIUC costs as much in-state as California schools do OOS. Same for Texas and Florida. There's not much financial incentive for kids to stay in-state at UIUC. [/quote]
