From PGH and people do refer to it as CMU. Also, people tend to pronounce it incorrectly bc of how Carnegie Hall is pronounced (Carn-ah-gie). It’s Car-NAY-gie, however.
Great school and PGH is a lot nicer now than when I was growing up and living there.

In engineering or computer science, absolutely. The accounting program is also nationally recognized.
But for most other majors it's probably not worth the full price, unless you are thinking of settling in state (i.e. Chicago)
