-1 on the gaming system. That’s not really socializing.
We have games that can be played collaboratively like minecraft (4 players in the same world), mario kart (4 players, up to 8, but we just have stuff for 4), super smash brothers (4 players, up to 8 but again we are limited to 4).
Ok at 14 plus that’s not going to cut it at all
I have a 14 yr old. We have other games but they aren't multiplayer. I was responding to the idea that gaming systems don't lead to socializing. My 14 yr old is online now (west coast) playing minecraft and talking to his friends while they are all playing in the same realm.
Dear Lord - that isn’t socializing. Get your kid off the screens.
You are a dinosaur. Nothing more to be said here.
Well, this Dino has read a bunch of studies on too much screen time. Try it.
Ok, so? The poster said nothing about how much time is spent on the screen. My son plays travel sports in the summer, varsity in during the school year, is a member of ROTC, and just took his APs and so far has a 4.2 as a Junior, will be higher once the grades come in for Q4. He also socializes, like all his other peers during his downtime via collaborative game play.
