quote=Anonymous]

I do accounting without a CPA and have been making in the 300k range last 12 years. If I had CPA be around 500k
Whatever.
Are people reporting fake salaries here? My accounting friends with 10 years experience making $60k to 100k.
Yes they are. It’s an anonymous forum everyone lies. I make 135k after 10 years and I got really lucky
I find the story about your friends hard to believe. I was an auditor for 7 years and always looked at payroll rates of the accounting team. Managers/controllers all over 100k unless working at some tiny, tiny nonprofits.
Because not all CPAs or accountants become managers or controllers after 10 years of experience.
True. People stay in Big 4 for 10+ years for a variety of reasons.

If you are a CPA and in accounting for 10+ years and you are not a manager of some sort, then I am going to assume you are not that great at your job.,-&)
Wrong. Some people are just not into management, doesn't mean they are bad accountants
