New poster here. I'm not a BRYC cultist and I have some complaints, but administratively I would rank the club pretty high. I like that they don't run a bunch of their own tournaments and camps and force parents to volunteer at them. They do not run a single tournament. One of the biggest complaints at the previous club was having to participate and volunteer at the club run tournaments. If your at a club that is constantly asking for volunteers for upcoming events then you know what I'm talking about. You feel pressure to volunteer even if you really don't have the time.
The tournaments help keep our cost down. Some age groups run their own concessions and profit well. Some teams put the money towards dues or travel cost. I know at our club there are parents that have more than one player and every little bit helps. Builds a stronger soccer community. I’m curious to how much you pay for 1 year against our 1 year.
The BRYC dues are actually posted to the website. Those do not cover team fees (travel to SC, NC, showcase travel costs), but those wouldn't likely be covered by other clubs dues either.
