I am at a small club. There is very little communication from the club beyond weather related cancellations. However, my kids' teams have excellent, highly organized managers. Couldn't be better.

The practice schedule is consistent, you will get times location at beginning of season and they don’t change. They do have issues with cramming 4-5 teams on a field. The communication between DA and non DA coaches is terrible. Players from top team (red) never hear back from DA when the try out. No communication at all not even telling you didn’t make it. You would think they would want to develop within own club, but it doesn’t happen. No communication and planning between DA and non DA coaches.

It is probably pretty close depending on the club. BRYC might be at the higher end but not the most expensive - $2150 next year for ECNL (plus team fees)

That’s not bad at all. With travel and tournaments too? I know MYS, travel and tournaments totaled around $7k.

The BRYC dues are actually posted to the website. Those do not cover team fees (travel to SC, NC, showcase travel costs), but those wouldn't likely be covered by other clubs dues either.

My kids are at Barca. Last year, the club was well run and I would have given them an A or A-. Coming back was an easy decision for us. This year, I rank them C+ as the standards have gone down (communications, fields scheduling (moving some practices to Morven was a big mistake), player pool issues, repeated misbehavior at some of the younger teams, etc). We have offers to come back, but we are leaning towards trying out with other clubs this year. We want our kids to have stability with playing for one club for many years, but there are some things that concern us and are difficult to overlook.
